Once the home of Morrison's own turn-of-the-century country doctor, Dr. Frank Luce, later Lila Horton's own childhood home, history pervades every corner of the dwelling and grounds. So exquisitely restored and furnished, you'll think you've stepped into a museum - or back in time a full hundred years. It may just encourage you to take life a little more quietly and slowly during your stay.
Shady relaxing nooks and paths in a well-tended Victorian garden invite you to stroll down to nearby Bear Creek, or just sit and absorb the serenity offered by large fir trees, bright flowers, and cool green glades. Hand-carved beds, fluffy comforters, and lots of pillows adorn each of Horton House's sumptuous guest bedrooms.
